At Belper WI, no two meetings are ever the same. From inspiring talks and hands-on workshops to local projects and social events, there’s always something going on. We’re proud to support local causes, celebrate women’s voices, and create a space where everyone feels welcome—whatever your age, background or interests.

Come along, have a cuppa and some cake, join the conversation and see what we’re all about. You don’t have to be a ‘typical WI member’, there’s no such thing here.

Get to Know Us
Looking to meet new people, try new things and feel part of something local and welcoming?
Come and join us at Belper Women’s Institute, a fun, inclusive and down-to-earth group for women of all ages.

We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Congregational Church in Belper, and there’s always something going on. From inspiring guest speakers and creative activities to good chats over tea, biscuits (and often cake!) — every meeting is a chance to connect, relax and enjoy something new.

With nearly 70 members, our community is warm, supportive and full of energy. Alongside our monthly meetings, we also run craft socials, a walking group, coffee mornings, cinema trips and more, perfect for getting to know each other in a more relaxed setting.​
